Toyota launches the new generation of the Avensis
New Toyota Avensis
The renewal the Toyota Avensis has received updates the somewhat dated look of the Japanese saloon. It remains a more than recommendable option when considering buying a car, as it offers a spacious and highly versatile cabin in the case of the estate body. In this new range revision, Toyota has chosen to differentiate private customers from business customers. In this way, private buyers can choose between the Advance and Executive trim levels, while professional customers have two others at their disposal, called Business and Business Advance.
The exterior design bears a strong resemblance to that of other vehicles from the Japanese brand. It has been updated to compete with the extensive offering of mid-size saloons on the market. As a standout novelty, the Advance trim includes as standard the previous Visibility Pack, with Full LED headlights with dynamic adjustment, LED light-guide daytime running lights, front fog lights with cornering function and 17″ two-tone alloy wheels.
As for the bodywork, the new Toyota Avensis features a new colour called Tokyo Red, which is also offered on the 2017 Auris, Auris Touring Sports and Verso ranges. For the interior, it also gets a new leather upholstery marketed through Toyota Custom, the new programme for purchasing Original Accessories Toyota. It provides access to other optional extras for the Avensis and Avensis Touring Sports, such as a rear tablet holder for multimedia devices, front and rear parking assistance systems, anti-theft alarm, boot protector, or Toyota ProTect, a protective sealant for the exterior paint, interior fabrics and alloy wheels.
The engine offering remains unchanged, with a petrol variant, the Avensis 140, which features a 1.8 VVT-i engine producing 147 CV of power, and two diesels, the Avensis 115D and Avensis 150D, with 1.6 and 2.0-litre D-4D engines producing 112 and 143 CV respectively.
The updated Toyota Avensis is already available at the official dealer network in Toyota Spain from 22,150 euros for the Avensis Sedan (4-door) bodystyle, and from 23,400 euros for the Avensis Touring Sports (estate) bodystyle.
