Toyota recalls 1.5 million units
Toyota will recall a total of 1.5 million units due to a fault in the rear suspension.

What would recalls be like if Toyota didn’t exist? The Japanese giant has accustomed us to sporadic inspections as a preventive measure against possible problems that could end in serious accidents involving its vehicles. For this reason, and due to a warning affecting the Auris, Avensis and RAV4, Toyota is recalling more than 1.5 million vehicles worldwide.
Of that large number of cars affected across the globe, more than 39,350 are in Spanish territory. There is no need to worry, but if the rear wheels of the aforementioned vehicles, along with the Toyota Sai and the Lexus HS250, have been aligned, there is a risk that the suspension arm may not have been left in its original position.
The president of Toyota Spain, Jacques Pieraerts, spoke to the media with the aim of not alarming owners of vehicles of his brand, stating that no accident has yet been known. “This preventive measure is taken for the peace of mind and safety of our customers”.
The Spanish headquarters will contact the owners of the affected vehicles as soon as possible and will explain everything that has happened. The repair will be carried out at Toyota’s expense, and they state that it will take less than 30 minutes.
The affected Spanish models correspond to the RAV4 manufactured between November 2005 and August 2010, the Avensis between November 2008 and January 2011, and finally 1,170 Auris assembled between February 2007 and March 2011.
