Toyota shows the first image of the new Aygo
Toyota has just released the first image of the new generation of the Aygo, its city car built through the Toyota-PSA alliance. We can see a much more pronounced and aggressive front end, thanks to a much larger logo and angular light units.

A few minutes ago, Toyota released the first image of the new generation of its city car, the Aygo, a vehicle built in collaboration with the French group PSA.
It is a single image from which little can be made out, but it gives us an idea of what is to come.
If there was one criticism of the current Aygo, it was its overly simple, rather “good-natured” design. At Toyota they are well aware of this, and have set out to make this new generation look bold, far more aggressive and eye-catching.
Although the photograph released by the Japanese manufacturer still leaves -for now- plenty of room for imagination, it is possible to see that the new Aygo will feature a much more pronounced front end, thanks to a logo that has grown considerably in size, as well as much more streamlined light units that abandon the rounded lines and will include LED daytime running lights.
Another area on which Toyota has worked hard concerns the finish of the cabin, another critical aspect of the model that is now nearing the end of its commercial life. The new materials are expected to offer a greater sense of quality, the result of the joint work of PSA and Toyota. In addition, like its sibling the Peugeot 108, the Aygo will feature a very complete multimedia system.
This change of direction (from a very spartan and cheap model to a more stylish and advanced one) is due to increasingly fierce and numerous competition, which includes new models such as the Renault Twingo, not to mention the legendary Fiat 500, a true icon among city cars.
