Toyota will display the C-HR prototype at the Paris Motor Show

Toyota today announced the two main novelties it has reserved for the upcoming Paris Motor Show. The one that will reach the market first will be the definitive version of the Fuel Cell Sedan, its hydrogen-powered saloon aimed at the general public. The model that Toyota will take to the French fair will already feature the European specifications with which we will see this model when it goes on sale in Europe next year.
The one that still has a few months of development ahead is the C-HR prototype, the Japanese manufacturer’s second world premiere at this event. Toyota states in its press release that its mission is to anticipate a future segment C crossover, so it will be positioned alongside the RAV4 in the range. Its differentiated design and its hybrid powertrain will be the main identifying features that prevent it from overlapping with the aforementioned SUV.
The announcement is accompanied by a preview of its design, whose language Toyota describes as “bold“. The silhouette visible in the image indeed suggests a crossover with an athletic body defined by a very raised waistline, a reduced roof height and a coupé-style rear end.
Wheels of large size can also be made out, along with a front overhang greater than the rear one. The headlights are very elongated and extend towards the A-pillar, while the taillights have unconventional lines, which may mean they will not carry over identically to the production vehicle.
