Twenty years of Suzuki Motor Ibérica: this special edition Vitara wants to celebrate it

It has been 20 years since Suzuki Motor Ibérica was founded in Spain, so the company wants to celebrate this anniversary with a special edition of the Vitara.

Suzuki Vitara 20 Aniversario

It was in 1987 that the Suzuki Vitara hit the market, and it did so with considerable success. That is why it was the model chosen by Suzuki Motor Ibérica to celebrate its 20 years in Spain. The Suzuki Vitara 20th Anniversary has been created to commemorate this important date for the company, and it has been developed to be a very special version.

To begin with, there will only be 200 units of this variant. This will make it highly sought after, and as soon as it goes on sale, buyers will need to hurry to get one. There are reasons to take notice of this version, and Suzuki has wanted it to be a car desired by brand enthusiasts and by those who are not.

A desirable exterior

The exterior of the Suzuki Vitara 20 Anniversary is painted in a colour very characteristic of the model, Sphere Blue Pearl Metallic. The bodywork offers a pleasing contrast with the roof and the exterior mirror housings, which are finished in Galactic Grey Metallic. The matt black grille provides the final touch to the special design of this commemorative version.

Inside, in addition to other changes compared with the rest of the versions, you can see an analogue clock located between the cabin air vents. The version chosen by Suzuki to bring this special edition to life is the GLE, so its equipment is that which this trim offers.

Engine

As for the engine, like the version it is based on, it features a 1.4-litre Boosterjet engine with Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki (SHVS) 48-volt mild hybrid system. Although this engine has no electric drive, it helps power the vehicle’s electronic systems and prevents them from drawing energy generated by the combustion engine. This translates into a certain fuel saving and a reduction in polluting emissions.

The consumption of the two-wheel-drive version is 5.3 litres/100 km, and 5.8 litres/100 km for the all-wheel-drive version. CO2 emissions are 120 g/km and 132 g/km, respectively.

The engine delivers a power output of 95 kW, that is, 127 CV, although this is increased by 10 kW (13.5 CV) thanks to the electric motor, which also adds 50 Nm to the 235 Nm achieved at 2,000 rpm.

To make this a very attractive variant, the starting price is 24,400 euros, and it should be remembered that only two hundred units will be produced, so if you are interested, do not delay in visiting the brand’s dealership network and reserving yours.
