Uniti One, the little electric car that wants to be big in Europe
A company based in Sweden has developed a small electric vehicle designed for the city, which will have a range of 300 kilometres

For several years now, start-ups aiming to offer an electric alternative to city mobility have been popping up everywhere. Unfortunately, not many of them manage to be more than a proposal on paper. That has not stopped Uniti, one of those innovative companies, from creating the Uniti One, a small electric city car that has just been unveiled.
This small car has a rather futuristic design, with a wide windscreen and slim A-pillars. Inside, two people can sit, one in front of the steering wheel and one behind, like a tandem. This design is not new, as it may remind you of a Renault Twizy. That said, what Uniti offers is a finer finish than the small French car.

The person sitting at the steering wheel will not find a traditional wheel; instead, there is a joystick-type controller. In the centre there is a touchscreen, where the various controls needed for driving and the information typical of a car of this kind will be located. At least, this is the case in the prototype we can see in the photo gallery and in the presentation video.

As for the technical data, it offers a range of 300 kilometres, which is not bad at all. To do so it uses a 22 kWh battery, which takes about 3 hours and 10 minutes to charge with a fast-charging kit. It can also be connected to the mains, where it can charge the battery to reach 200 km of range in just 30 minutes.
The Uniti One achieves a top speed of 130 km/h and in “Sport” mode it can reach 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds. As for the price, the company’s website states that it will have a starting price of 19,900 euros, with a reservation that already collects 149 euros. This price includes, they say, one of the most advanced technological equipment packages for cars of this type, although we do not know what it consists of, and an option for four seats, which will improve its usability, although we assume at the expense of range.
