Video of the Lancia Stratos Zero

As a true motoring enthusiast, I knew that a concept unveiled at the 1970 Turin Motor Show was the first glimpse of the development of the legendary Lancia Stratos HF, yet I had no relevant information about that prototype.
But thanks to the information circulating online about the new Lancia Stratos, we can share some details about the 1970s concept. The prototype known as Lancia Stratos Zero was developed under the supervision of Bertone and was designed by Marcello Gandini, the same designer behind the Lamborghini Countach and Miura.
It was also equipped with a mid-mounted 1.6-litre Fulvia V4 engine, which was located in an unusually low position; for that reason the steering and suspension system had to be modified to achieve good performance.
So the 115 horses produced by the Fulvia heart were put to excellent use by the car, measuring 3.58 m in length and 84 cm in height; its design was undoubtedly extravagant for its time, so it is no surprise that most of its structure was built from steel and fibreglass.
