Video: the Ferrari Purosangue flexes its muscles on the Fiorano circuit
Ferrari continues development of the Ferrari Purosangue, its long-awaited SUV, which this time has been spotted on the Fiorano circuit.
Yes, we know, the Ferrari Purosangue and its test mules have been talked about a lot lately, but it is undeniably one of the cars generating the most anticipation. First we saw it disguised as a GTC4Lusso, then with part of its own bodywork under development, then with that of the Maserati Levante, and later in a video that dismantled our theories by deafening us with a sound typical of a V12. Now, the SUV from Ferrari has been caught running at full throttle on the Fiorano circuit, where the brand tunes each and every one of its cavallinos.
Of course, the tremendous mystery surrounding the Purosangue remains intact, and we still have no official information on the matter. But although for many the conception of an SUV by Ferrari is an outrage or a heresy, we must not forget the most important thing: it is a Ferrari.
Bearing this in mind, we can breathe easy. Because we know the Italian firm has kept its wits about it to create an SUV, yes, but one that is sporty like few others. Irrefutable proof of this is the speed and confidence with which it takes the corners of the brand’s circuit; it even delights us with the occasional oversteer as a sign that the Purosangue is also going to be a fun car to drive.

The styling is still unclear, since the camouflage and its not-yet-defined physiognomy prevent us from seeing its details. However, we do notice a rear end very similar to that of the Maserati Levante, a model whose bodywork it has borrowed on more than one occasion for its tests. Although we will eventually see a design with much of the Ferrari Roma in it, the model tasked with setting the new canons of Ferrari.
However, the high point of everything Ferrari is found in its mechanical side, and the Ferrari Purosangue was not going to be an exception. Although at first there was talk of a V8 or a V6, the sound of the test mules still points to a V12, a configuration we thought would become extinct after the departure of the 812 Superfast.

Be that as it may, we are getting closer and closer to knowing every last detail of the Ferrari Purosangue. The segment of performance SUVs is about to welcome a long-awaited member with high chances of becoming the king of kings; only time will tell.
