Video: this is the complete drift of the 900 CV Mustang at the Nürburgring
Ford has unveiled the full video of the feat achieved by Vaughn Gittin Jr. with his Ford Mustang RTR: a lap of the Nürburgring circuit drifting.
A few days ago we announced the record set by Vaughn Gittin Jr. at the Nürburgring: a full lap sliding through the “Green Hell”. At first, we could only see a few clips of the feat achieved by the American with his Ford Mustang RTR Drift, but now the extended version of one of the most spectacular videos of this year has been published.

As we can see in the sequence, the driver from Maryland was able to slide through every corner, performing some truly spectacular manoeuvres: 180º turns, slides with the rear wheels on the gravel…
There is no need to overstate the record set by Vaughn Gittin Jr. Completing a full lap of the Nürburgring drifting, without hitting the barriers, is an achievement in itself. Nobody had done it before, and we are talking about one of the most treacherous circuits on the face of the earth, so the stunts performed by Gittin Jr. in this video carry a really special value.
Ford Mustang RTR Drift: a V8 with more than 900 CV

Let us recall that Vaughn Gittin Jr. had the perfect weapon to take on this challenge at the Nürburgring: a Ford Mustang RTR Drift with a 7.1-litre V8 engine built by Roush Yates that develops more than 900 CV of power and exceeds 9,000 rpm.
