The Volkswagen Transporter is one of those vehicles that any outdoor enthusiast would love to have in their garage, so for those of us who love it and to make your mouth water a little more, the commercial vehicles division of Volkswagen continues to expand the current T6 generation with a new model: the Volkswagen Multivan Outdoor Panamericana.

Taking the successful Multivan Outdoor as a reference, this model has been created with the Panamericana name, previously used on other versions of the Transporter. The exterior styling differs little from a standard Multivan Outdoor, except for the decals and badges that show which model we are in, and the 18-inch alloy wheels called Palmerston, fitted with reinforced 255/45 tyres.

Its strength lies in the interior, where the driver and passengers will have a full array of technology. To begin with, the rear seats benefit from easy access thanks to the twin electrically operated sliding side doors, the same function found on the tailgate. Once inside, comfort is assured by the two-tone Napa Panamericana leather seats and the Air Care Climatronic system, which regulates the temperature in three separate zones. Infotainment and navigation are handled by the Discover Media system, with a 6.33-inch colour touchscreen, also compatible with the Volkswagen Media Control and App Connect systems.

As for driver assistance systems, it comes as standard with a number of quite interesting ones, such as Light Assist with automatic regulation via the LED daytime running lights, Front Assist with Adaptive Cruise Control that includes city emergency braking, and ParkPilot with rear-view camera and hill descent and hill start assist.

Mechanically, the Volkswagen Multivan Outdoor Panamericana will be available with a single engine in both petrol and diesel versionsVolkswagen Multivan Outdoor Panamericana, donde exclusividad y aventura van de la mano, a TDI or TSI unit delivering 204 CV of power. It comes with permanent 4Motion four-wheel drive and reinforced suspension as standard, which also raises the ride height by 20 millimetres, enough to tackle narrower terrain.

The price of the Volkswagen Multivan Outdoor Panamericana for the Spanish market starts from 53,390 Euros.
