Volkswagen presents the new Caddy Outdoor

Commercial vehicles are looking to erase the line that separates them from passenger cars, offering more and more equipment and moving closer to what private car owners are offered. Both in terms of equipment and in terms of style and external appearance. Comfort, something that until recently seemed unnecessary in a commercial vehicle, has become indispensable for this type of vehicle, and it is increasingly common to find commercial vehicles designed more for leisure time than for work.
Volkswagen has taken this into account, which is why it has presented the Caddy Outdoor, a commercial vehicle that aims to offer a space designed for leisure as well as serving as a work tool. This model’s appearance is more rugged but, at the same time, more dynamic and elegant than that of the version it replaces. The name it carries, Outdoor, completes the range launched earlier with the Multivan Outdoor.
The Caddy Outdoor is equipped with many of the driver assistance systems found on other models from the brand
In the interior, work has been done to create a more practical space designed to give occupants more room and more comfort. The layout of the space has been redesigned to make the most of the capacity of the Caddy Outdoor and make it as practical as needed. And so that it becomes a car that can be used in any situation, without having to sacrifice safety, it has been equipped with many of the driving support systems found in the brand’s passenger cars.
The Discover Media navigation system, as well as the electronic voice amplification system, the Light and Vision Package, the Climatronic system or the front passenger seat with folding backrest are standard on the model. Park Assist, Light Assist, Front Assist, Park Pilot (parking assistant) and App-Connect, which connects the navigation system with the smartphone, are available as options.
As for engines, the new Euro 6 units produce 102, 122 and 150 CV, combined with a manual gearbox or the DSG automatic transmission, with the option of 4Motion all-wheel drive. As for prices, the Caddy Outdoor 2.0 TDI EU6 102CV with manual gearbox is available from €20,300, excluding registration tax.
