Volkswagen Scirocco "Best Car 2009 in the Canary Islands"

The Volkswagen Scirocco has been awarded the title of “Best Car 2009 in the Canary Islands”. The specialist motoring press of the Canary Islands, represented by a jury of 13 experts, where each one had to distribute five points among the candidates (maximum of three points to a single model).

Among vehicles such as the Renault Mégane III or Ford Fiesta, among others, the Volkswagen Scirocco was chosen with the highest score. The model’s price in the islands also favoured it, as it starts at 20,800 euros.

The ranking was as follows: 1st VW Scirocco (20 points), 2nd Renault Mégane III (14 points), 3rd SEAT Ibiza (13 points), 4th Fiat Qubo (10 points), and the remaining vehicles totalled 8 points. Among the other participants were models such as: Skoda Superb, Nissan Tiida, BMW Serie 1 Coupé, Kia Pro_cee’d, Honda Accord, Mercedes GLK, Mazda2, Audi Q7 and the Opel Agila.
