Volkswagen shows us (finally) the Golf GTI Edición 35

For those who say we’re pro-German, I’m not sure what could be more meaningful for compact cars than the Volkswagen Golf. Well, and if we talk about a GTI, even better. And when that GTI is the 35th anniversary edition of the debut of the well-known GTI variant, things get even more interesting.
Volkswagen today shows us the 35th anniversary version of the immortal GTI, which will start becoming available to dealers in Germany next Thursday. With details unique to this model, this GTI seeks to capitalize on those small touches that made it unique in its time.
Whoever wants to pay €30,425 in Germany will receive a GTI that, aesthetically, isn’t so different from the current one, even though it is commemorative. The details aren’t exactly generous, but the new front bumper design and certain interior details serve as a reminder that this version is different, with plenty of references to the number “35” on the exterior and interior.

Were you expecting to read something about the engine? Fortunately, there’s good news. The engine has gone from 210 to 235 HP in the blink of an eye, building even more anticipation among those of us who admire the Golf.
The official presentation will take place in Germany in mid-June, but if you’re a dyed-in-the-wool Golf fan and you know and have attended the most important event in the world of the GTI (the Austrian Wörthersee), you’ll be able to see it there firsthand.
