Volkswagen has pulled out all the stops at the Qatar Motor Show with the presentation of several special modifications to one of the SUVs of the moment, the Touareg, originally nicknamed Touareg Gold Edition, as you can probably guess.

As you can see in the header photo, this model is undoubtedly an ode to economic power, thanks to details such as the 22-inch wheels plated in gold. This material also appears in other details such as the roof rails, front grille, mirror caps, door sills and even all the logos scattered across the bodywork.

As for the cabin, the details are perhaps even more numerous, since both the switches and various details throughout the interior have received the same 24-carat gold treatment, complemented, of course, by walnut inserts and a full upholstery in very high-quality leather.

Mechanically, we are dealing with a Touareg with 360 CV, a high output for a model whose price has not been revealed, perhaps because, if the €500,000 of the Fenice 500 surprised us at the time, a Touareg may well slip out of our hands, although we are sure it would be fought over in the Middle East.
