Volkswagen Up! GT Concept

Just under three months ago, JL showed us a render of the VolkswagenUP! GTI as a preview. Our hunch was right, since the German company is now showing us the Up! GT Concept, a sportier version of the small German city car.
Although the model won’t make it onto the production lines for now, the Up! GT Concept will have some exterior changes that set it apart from the Up!, and it stands out for its 17-inch tyres and alloy wheels, along with a generous front air intake. To complete the picture, other finishing details that cannot be seen from the outside are also announced: the interiors of the GTI models.

The engine will produce more than 100 horsepower, if we are to believe what the German engineers announce. The Up! would thus move one step higher in the competition with small, quite souped-up models such as the Twingo or the Fiat500.
The idea that the Up! GT won’t reach the market soon could change if more details about the Up! are revealed. After all, people gladly appreciate a sportier model, even when the philosophy of the Up! is completely different.
