Volvo wants to increase the personalisation options and the sense of quality of its largest models in the 2015 range. To do so, it has designed a new optional package aimed at the XC60, V70, XC70 and S80, which adds various elements to the cabin to make it more distinguished. According to Anders H. Gustavsson, Vice President of the VLM special products line, Anders H. Gustavsson, this is the next step in the brand’s strategy to continue its climb in the premium market.

Known as Inscription, the package includes a soft leather upholstery available in different exclusive shades, as well as covering of the same material for other areas such as the dashboard, the rear of the seats, the centre armrest and the headrest. Another way to identify it is by the logo of the package on the lower door panels.

It also optionally includes walnut wood inserts and, on the XC60, a charcoal black headliner. On the exterior, the Inscription package comes with three body colours for the V70, XC70 and S80: Crystal White pearl effect, Ember Black and Electric Silver. It is completed by 10-spoke 19-inch alloy wheels on the V70 and S80 and 20-inch on the XC60.

Volvo has announced that another recent development is the option to fit the Sensus Connect infotainment and navigation system across the entire range. It uses cloud-based applications to offer functions such as searching for and paying for a car park, or the HERE platform with 3D maps, as well as a service for booking workshop appointments at the moment the system warns that the car needs servicing.
