Got some savings? A Ferrari 575 GTZ, one of a kind, is going up for auction

On May 17, a very particular auction will take place in Monaco, because the item up for sale is unique, one of those rarities of the motoring world created by Zagato (and, in my view, of great beauty).

It is the Ferrari 575 GTZ. This unit was built in 2006 at the request of collector Ferrari Yoshiyuki Hayashi, who reportedly ordered two units: one to show and one to drive. Now one of those two units is going up for auction in Monaco — again, because it already came up for sale a few years ago with a starting price of 1.5 million euros, but back then the bidding failed to attract any buyers.

The Ferrari 575 GTZ is based on the Ferrari 575M Maranello and shares most of its main components, including the powerful 5.7-litre V12 engine producing 508 horsepower. Thanks to this performance, it can reach 325 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds.

This Ferrari served as a tribute to the 50th anniversary of the 250 GT Berlinetta Zagato; it is the first Ferrari built by Zagato, dating back to 1956. If you have some savings (small change…) and you love classic cars that are also unique, mark the date, because on May 17 this curious Ferrari goes under the hammer.

  1. Criti&Cars says:

El coche es una verdadera preciosidad. Sus líneas me recuerdan mucho a esos deportivos britanicos tan bellos de la década de los sesenta (Aston Martin DB5, por citar uno).
