Watch out! This electric car with 1,000 CV is going on sale, and there are only 100 units

If I talk to you about the McMurtry Spéirling Pure, you probably won’t know what car I’m talking about. But if I tell you that this small, lightweight car took on the Goodwood Hill Climb in just 39.08 seconds, becoming the fastest ever to do so, things start to change. This electric hypercar offers very impressive figures, which make it a good choice for enjoying the thrill of the racetrack.

It has a length of just 3.45 metres, a width of 1.58 metres and a height of 1.08 metres. Despite these dimensions, it can accommodate an occupant up to 250 centimetres tall and weighing 150 kg. In terms of its design, it is as radical as you could expect from a vehicle of this kind.

It has a rather rearward-positioned cabin, which gives it a very attractive sporty look. Large aerodynamic air intakes dominate the bodywork, along with a large rear spoiler. The wheels are 18 inches, although 19-inch wheels can be fitted as an option. In this case it is equipped with 270 mm tyres at the front and 300 mm at the rear.

Compared with the show model seen at Goodwood, the production version will weigh 14% less, while the ventilation system has been improved so that it achieves 15% greater effectiveness.

Engine and battery

The McMurtry Spéirling Pure is equipped with a 60 kWh battery, which gives it a range sufficient to complete 10 laps of the Silverstone circuit. It is a curious way of indicating its range, but it demonstrates its competitive spirit. As for its motors, they deliver a power output of up to 745 kW, equivalent to 1,000 CV. With a weight of 1,000 kg, the power-to-weight ratio stands at a spectacular 1/1, and its top speed is 310 km/h.

There are several modifications over the model seen at Goodwood, as areas such as the suspension, the bodywork and other elements, including the controls, have been improved. The gearbox has been replaced with a more efficient one, so the driving experience is much more engaging and exciting. Its price will be 954,000 euros, and this production version will be presented at the next Goodwood Festival. By the way, only 100 units will go on sale, so few people will be able to enjoy this model.
