Will these be the new electric cars under the BMW badge?
A specialist German publication has released several news reports about the new electric models of BMW, which will arrive starting in 2026.

Major brands are advancing quickly when it comes to electric mobility, so we are getting more and more news about it from them. BMW could make a big leap starting in 2026, once it launches the Neue Klasse platform in 2025. This is what emerges from a publication by the specialist forum Bimmerpost, which has announced the brand’s news.
In 2025 we will already get to know the new BMW i3, the electric version of the 3 Series, but also the updated BMW iX3. From that moment on, it is not known with certainty which electric models will be launched, although according to these unofficial reports, we could already have some information on the subject.

According to the information shared on the forum, several versions of the i3 and the iX3 will go on sale. These will be the 40, 40xDrive, 50, 50xDrive and M60xDrive variants. Possibly, after these two models appear, the BMW iX4 would arrive, although in this case it is only expected to come with all-wheel drive. That is, it will arrive with the 40xDrive, 50xDrive and M60 xDrive versions.
According to the plan announced in this publication, an electric version of the X5 would follow, which would be named iX5, with the 50xDrive and M70 xDrive variants.
As for the BMW iX3, it is expected to enter production in mid-2025 and will remain in the brand’s portfolio until 2033, with several updates during those years of commercial life. This model will presumably feature the new BMW Panoramic Vision interface. This has not been announced for the BMW 3 Series, so it could debut on this electric model.
Another of the news items offered in this publication is that the BMW X6 could stop being produced earlier than planned. Its expiry date is set for December 2027, instead of March 2028, when it was originally scheduled. Another piece of news is that the BMW M5 could have a plug-in hybrid engine that could arrive as early as next year, 2024.
It has also been reported that the first update that the BMW i7 will receive will arrive in July 2026. All of this comes from unofficial information, as we have already noted, but we will soon have confirmation or denials from the brand, with announcements of its short-term plans.
