Would you pay 3 million dollars for this 10-year-old Mercedes?
If you have always wanted a Mercedes but have never been able to afford one, the used market offers great alternatives. Of course, this listing may not be the most encouraging one…
Although it is a 10-year-old model, this Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss Edition is one of the rarest and most extreme supercars from the German manufacturer or from McLaren, however, 3 million is excessive even for the model that introduced the active rear spoiler.

The SLR, for anyone who doesn’t know, is the forerunner of the exotic SLS AMG and the basis of today’s AMG GT. This alliance between both manufacturers arose from the joint help between the Mercedes and McLaren teams in Formula 1 to compete with the Porsche Carrera GT or the Ferrari Enzo.

It has a 5.8-litre V8 engine that produces a total of 617 CV and 780 Nm of torque, figures that were absolutely incredible for the time, although let’s be honest, even though today’s market is infested with extremely powerful cars, 617 CV is still a true dream for any enthusiast.
Mercedes and McLaren built more than 2,000 between 2003 and 2010, as well as more updated versions along the way. However, the Stirling Moss speedster was the most exclusive and sought-after of all of them.

Apart from clear revisions to its design, such as the model being a convertible, giving it an even more aggressive and sporty look, it had a more powerful engine reaching 651 CV and 820 Nm of torque. In addition, the exhaust pipes were located at the front of the bodywork, on both sides of the bonnet, very close to the wheels.
This model was also a way of paying tribute to the legendary driver whose name this supercar bears. Only 75 units were built. It has been put up for sale through the company Mechatronik GmbH based in Pleidelsheim, Germany.

Without a doubt we are talking about a true beauty that, by the way, the white colour suits wonderfully. However, despite the figures it boasts, perhaps exclusivity is the only valid reason to pay such an exorbitant sum for it.
With a total of 4,100 km travelled, the seller has set a price of 2.95 million euros since it is in perfect condition and practically new. Bear in mind that for this price you could buy up to 20 units of the top-of-the-range Mercedes AMG GT R, but well, if you always wanted one and have money to spare, then this is your opportunity.
