YGONOW Teardrop Cocoon: this is the smallest caravan on the market that can tow up to a Smart
YGONOW has just unveiled the YGONOW Teardrop Cocoon, the smallest caravan in the world that can be towed by a Smart.
Over time, the idea of hitching a caravan to your car and getting lost almost anywhere in the world has gained appeal. The high price of a campervan, whether factory-built or developed by an external manufacturer, has led many people to choose this option, which, whether you like it or not, offers more excitement than staying in a hotel. But what if we told you that there is now a caravan that can carry up to a Smart? This is the case of the YGONOW Teardrop Cocoon, the smallest caravan on the market.
Now more than ever, many people are opting for this kind of travel, especially considering the global pandemic we are living through, which makes it difficult to enjoy a normal holiday. The YGONOW Teardrop Cocoon is a good solution for those who don’t need much space and don’t want to face a large outlay.
It was conceived by YGONOW, a Portuguese company that has built the model we are looking at today almost by hand. It is called Teardrop, meaning “tear” in English, because of its exterior shape, which is inspired by a teardrop, and it features a wooden structure that reflects its origins.

Thanks to its light weight and compact dimensions, it can be towed by practically any vehicle. In addition, you only need a B driving licence to tow the YGONOW Teardrop Cocoon, which makes travelling with it easier and increases its versatility. It is approved for two people, who can sleep inside it or in a tent that attaches to its roof.
As if that weren’t enough, on the outside of the Teardrop Cocoon there is a kitchen equipped with a tap, hobs and various shelves designed for storage, plus a portable fridge. The Portuguese brand also offers up to three trim levels for its caravan, which determine the equipment. These are S, SE and SX.

If we want to venture out with the smallest and most affordable caravan in the world, we will have to pay €5,660 for the entry-level model. In this way, the YGONOW Teardrop Cocoon becomes a very attractive option for adventurers who want to escape on holiday without facing large expenses and enjoy a different experience.
