Zeekr delivers the first units of its flagship 001 in Norway

The Chinese manufacturer announced just one month ago its intention to start operations in the Nordic country shortly.

Zeekr, the luxury electric vehicle brand of Chinese automotive giant Geely, has just expanded its presence in Europe and is currently operating in Sweden, the Netherlands and Norway. Its vehicles are also expected to be available in Germany early next year, although no specific date is known at this time.

The first units of the Zeekr 001 have arrived in Norway since this very month of November, marking a milestone in the brand’s expansion across the continent.

As the images show, the first Zeekr 001 delivered was a white unit. The lucky new owner received this unit just a few days ago in the capital of the country. Zeekr has established a partnership with Premium Cars Stor-Oslo to handle sales and service in Norway, with plans to expand to other cities across the Nordic country in the coming months.

The Chinese brand’s journey in Europe

The expansion of Zeekr in Europe began last year in Sweden and the Netherlands. As we already told you here on HighMotor, in October of this year the Chinese manufacturer promised it would soon begin selling the Shooting Brake 001 and the compact X SUV in Norway before the end of the year. A promise the company has finally kept just one month later.

It should also be noted that in Germany, although it is already possible to reserve the Zeekr 001 and the X, no date has yet been confirmed for the start of deliveries. Initially, Zeekr announced it would begin operating in the German market in early 2024, but this has not yet happened. In any case, although there is still no official confirmation, everything points to this finally taking place early next year, as we have already commented.

Zeekr 001 Side

The arrival of Zeekr in new European markets will allow the company to keep growing. In October, the Chinese manufacturer reached a record global delivery figure of 25,049 units, surpassing the record set just a month earlier, in September, with 21,333 electric vehicles delivered to its customers.

So far this year, Zeekr has delivered 167,922 vehicles globally, an increase of more than 82 percent compared with the previous year. This success has led Zeekr to take on a more prominent role within the Geely Group, especially after it was confirmed this same week that Zeekr will take control of the group’s brand Lynk&Co.
