009 Zeekr Electric Cars Minivans
Zeekr updates its 009 minivan ahead of its global launch
The renewed version of Zeekr’s 009 minivan will be available with two architectures, 400 V and 800 V. An optional new battery pack will also allow it to cover nearly a thousand kilometres on a single charge.
Roughly a year after ZEEKR began selling its 009 minivan in the Chinese market, the company is about to unveil an updated version of this model. The new 009 will be offered in two different seating configurations and will feature an even larger battery pack, promising a range well above that of its rivals. The Chinese manufacturer has also been keen to stress that this new model will offer improved safety levels and will use much more eco-friendly materials in its interior.
The 009 was the second electric model in Zeekr’s catalogue for the Chinese market. Production began in autumn 2022 and the first deliveries took place in early 2023. Last April, Zeekr announced an ultra-luxury variant of this minivan under the name 009 Grand, equipped with four seats, a 43-inch LED television, an 18-litre fridge and marble decorative details in the interior.

The Chinese manufacturer is not wasting any time and has now just announced an update to the 009, which will also include a new seven-seat variant. This renewed version of the 009 minivan will also cease to be an exclusive model for the Chinese market, expanding into other markets outside this Asian country.
The best of the best
As for its technical specifications, the renewed 009 will offer as an option a new 140 kWh battery pack with CATL Qilin cells, with which the manufacturer promises the best range of all electric minivans on the market. With the conventional 108 kWh battery pack, according to Zeekr, it will be possible to charge from 10 to 80 per cent in just 11 and a half minutes. Although the company has not officially disclosed the range of this renewed version of the 009, we should remember that the current model offers a range of 822 km under the excessively optimistic Chinese CLTC homologation cycle.
Other technical specifications worth highlighting are its ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds, and the inclusion as standard of dual-chamber air suspension and CCD dampers. As for the interior equipment, we cannot fail to mention the availability of a spectacular sound system with 3,000 watts of power and 30 speakers.

The new 009 will officially launch globally on this coming 19 July at an event to be held in Hong Kong. That is when we will learn all the details about this electric minivan, including the updated price list.
