Zotye will present the cheapest car in the world

We have come a long way since Tata unveiled the Nano under the promise of being the cheapest car in the world. So much so that competitors are already emerging, and as almost always happens, China could have the last word on the matter.
Apparently the new Zotye will be based on the SuzukiMaruti M800, sold in China under various brands, after saving every kind of cost in the production process, for example by removing air conditioning and power steering, among other items.
Nothing has been revealed yet about the engines, although everything points to it keeping the small 0.8-litre 37 hp unit, paired with a four-speed manual gearbox.
For now we know nothing more about the project, although it seems things are going very seriously, especially considering the huge Chinese or Indian market, where a vehicle of these characteristics could be very welcome.
On the other hand, the bad news is that in the West we will be left without seeing this model, since reviving a car built in the mid-1980s would make no sense.
