Canada has not turned out to be the right market for Honda hybrids

Not everyone likes hybrids or electric cars, and not every brand is doing very well selling hybrids. Canada is certainly not a developing country when it comes to car use, so the news may come as a surprise. Though you should look at the sales figures to realise that this is not surprising.
The truth is that Honda Canada has had to address some rumours suggesting that they would cancel sales of the Honda Civic Hybrid and the Honda Insight, two real sellers for the brand. Just a few minutes ago they had to deny the reports in this regard.
According to them, the mentioned models will continue to be sold despite sales (which are quite low: 748 Insight and 643 Civic). All of this as long as people want to buy them. Judging by the numbers, who knows how much longer these two Honda hybrids will last in Canada.
