10 reasons why you should buy a Peugeot 308 GTI
The Peugeot 308 GTi is already on sale from 32,050 euros with a 1.6-litre engine that delivers 270 CV of power.
The new Peugeot 308 GTi has already started its sales. We are talking about a sporty compact that lives up to its name with a ferocious engine producing 270 CV and dynamic performance worthy of a car of this kind. The car is on sale for 32,050 euros.
It is not easy for a car, however sporty it may be, to hold its own on a circuit, a cruel and demanding setting in which even some competition cars are exposed. The Peugeot 308 GTI is one of the few vehicles that delivers great sensations on track, and one of its keys lies in its engine, a modern 1.6-litre turbo that feels powerful throughout the rev range, well managed by a gearbox with an exquisite, almost millimetric feel in the travel of its lever, and well judged in terms of the selected gear ratios. But without a good chassis a good engine and gearbox combination would count for nothing, and this is where the engineers at Peugeot Sport have once again risen to the occasion. This 308 GTi does not leave the factory ready to drive; it must go through the Peugeot Sport workshops to receive a number of adjustments and components that are well worth the extra cost given the effort and work involved…
Why is a Peugeot 308 GTi a very interesting option?
- Sporting tradition of Peugeot: the radical version of the 308 developed by Peugeot Sport guarantees high levels of performance and driving sensations.

- Potential of the 1.6 L THP 270 CV petrol engine developed by Peugeot Sport: the French brand’s sports division also tunes the Peugeot 3008 DKR driven by Carlos Sainz.

- Incredible performance: power-to-weight ratio of 4.6 kg/CV and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6 seconds. The car needs only 25.3 seconds to cover 1,000 m.

- Powerful brakes: the braking system uses 380 mm discs at the front and four-piston calipers to withstand the punishment of the circuit.

- Sustained consumption: if you go easy on the accelerator and drive efficiently, consumption stays at 6 l/100 km, and the car is so quiet and comfortable that it could go unnoticed.

- Great traction capacity: you don’t have to be an exceptional driver… grip makes the difference thanks to the Torsen limited-slip differential.

- Very sporty image: the car features a new front end, LED headlights, forced air intake, ground clearance reduced by 11 mm, dual exhaust outlets and a thunderous sound made in Peugeot.

- Sporty and personalised interior: it offers a small, sporty steering wheel and bucket seats exclusive to the 308 GTi, upholstered in leather and Alcántara, with massage function and electric lumbar adjustment. The cabin includes several aluminium plates with the “Peugeot Sport” and “GTi” logos, as do the pedals, footrest and gear lever knob.

- Driver Sport Pack system: the Sport button changes the instrument colour from white to red and displays power, torque, turbo pressure, lateral and longitudinal acceleration (g) information, increases the engine sound and changes the throttle mapping.

- Extensive technology and safety equipment: includes a touchscreen and full connectivity with Tomtom 3D navigation and voice recognition system. The Mirror Screen function duplicates the phone screen and allows functions to be accessed by voice: calls, messages or directions to the navigator. The car is compatible with Mirrorlink, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. As for driver assistance systems, it offers the brand’s latest: Distance Alert or collision risk function, Active Safety Brake or automatic emergency braking, unintended lane departure warning, inattention warning above 80 km/h, etc.
