Many of you have probably never heard of an artwork on wheels as peculiar as the one legendary Italian designer Luigi Colani created in 1970, which came to light under the name Lamborghini Miura Le Mans Concept Car.

According to Colani’s website, this Concept was built on the idea of a hybrid design between a car and a plane, and as you can see in the header image, the front is basically that: the cockpit of an aircraft, while its rear is directly the rear axle of a Lamborghini Miura

This concept was used by the Italian company as a demonstration vehicle for four long years, where it was practically seen at every motor show around the world. After that, curiously, the vehicle simply disappeared, only to come back to life more than 30 years later at an auction in Indiana (United States).

Afterwards, its current owner put it up for sale to anyone willing to pay no less than $79,000 of course, through an eBay auction. Unfortunately, the last owners of such an iconic vehicle have not looked after it very well and, as you can see in the images, it is in a lamentable state.

For example, some elements have literally disappeared from the vehicle, such as its engine, so a potential buyer would have to invest a considerable “extra” sum of money if they want their new acquisition to retain the appearance that once captivated everyone who laid eyes on it.
