2017 Mexican F1 Grand Prix: preview, timetable and how to watch it on TV

Keep an eye on the timetable for the 2017 Mexican F1 Grand Prix, taking place this weekend (27, 28 and 29 October), where Hamilton could win the title.

Previa del GP de México de F1 2017, en el que Hamilton puede ganar el título

This weekend, 27, 28 and 29 October, the 2017 Mexican F1 Grand Prix takes place, the race that could definitively decide this season’s world title. Lewis Hamilton, after his victory at the United States Grand Prix, needs only to score ten points to secure what would be his fourth championship.

As things stand, the Briton from Mercedes only needs to finish in the top five in Mexico to be crowned world champion, regardless of what Sebastian Vettel does. Even without scoring, Hamilton could become world champion if the German from Ferrari does not finish the race in first or second place.

Looking at the statistics, it is more than feasible that Hamilton will finish in the top five. The British driver has not retired from any race this season, and in only one of them did he fail to finish in the top five, at the Monaco Grand Prix, where he could only manage seventh, so everything points to him celebrating his fourth world title in Mexico.

Beyond that, there are few other attractions for the race, which will be held at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, on the outskirts of the Mexican capital. As for the Spanish drivers, we will see whether Carlos Sainz repeats the good performance he had on his debut with Renault and how Fernando Alonso fares this time, or rather how far his engine will carry him in this race.
