Di Giannantonio ganó la carrera de Moto3 en el GP de la República Checa 2018

The motorcycle 2018 Czech Republic Grand Prix began with a Moto3 race won by Fabio Di Giannantonio. The 19-year-old Italian rider claimed his first victory of his career, after several seasons in the World Championship, ahead of Spain’s Arón Canet and Czech rider Jakub Kornfeil. Kornfeil is the first local rider to reach the podium at Brno since Pesek did so eleven years ago.

Italy’s Marco Bezzecchi finished sixth, enough to return to the top of the World Championship standings with 133 points, 3 more than Jorge Martín, who did not race in the Czech Republic due to injury. The championship is heating up, as Di Giannantonio and Canet move closer to the lead, with 116 points for the Italian and 112 for the Spaniard.

Oliveira se pone como líder del Mundial de Moto2

In Moto2 we saw a group race from which Álex Márquez literally crashed out early. An Italian triplet was on the cards, but Miguel Oliveira got in the way, defending the lead in the intense final laps against the pressure from Luca Marini. Behind the two of them, Pecco Bagnaia and Baldassarri fought for third place, which went to Valentino Rossi’s protégé.

Still, third place was not enough for Bagnaia to keep the top spot in the World Championship standings. With the 25 points scored today after his second win of the season, Dovizioso ganó el GP de la República Checa 2018Portugal’s Oliveira now leads with 166 points, ahead of the Italian on 164. Márquez, who scored nothing, is now well behind despite remaining in third place.

Finally, the MotoGP race was watched with particular intensity from the Ducati garage, with both of their riders fighting for the win. In the end, the victory went to Andrea Dovizioso, adding his second win of the season. The Italian started from pole position and dominated most of the race, although neither Jorge Lorenzo in second nor Marc Márquez in third made it easy for him, especially his teammate in the final corners.

Despite not winning, Marc Márquez leaves the Czech Republic Grand Prix even further in the lead, as he finished ahead of Valentino Rossi, who could only manage fourth, while Maverick Viñales scored no points after crashing at the third corner. The Spaniard has 181 points, Rossi has 132, and Dovi is already third after his win, on 113 points.
