2018 MotoGP Argentina GP: Crutchlow, Pasini and Bezzecchi win races at Termas de Río Hondo

Cal Crutchlow, Mattia Pasini and Marco Bezzecchi win the races at the 2018 Argentina motorcycle GP at the Termas de Río Hondo circuit

Crutchlow ganó en Argentina y es líder del Mundial

In a chaotic race, Cal Crutchlow comes out on top. The Englishman took victory at the 2018 MotoGP Argentina GP in a wild race. Frenchman Zarco and Spaniard Rins joined the British rider on the top step of the podium, and with these 25 points, plus the 13 he earned at the Qatar GP, he moves into provisional leadership of the world championship after the first two rounds.

Fourth was Miller and Viñales was fifth, ahead of Dovizioso, the first factory bike across the line. Jorge Lorenzo, in fifteenth, scored points where neither Valentino Rossi, Marc Márquez nor a Pedrosa who crashed early on were able to. Márquez, who was given a drive-through penalty, during his comeback passed the Italian rider, and that cost him a 30-second penalty that dropped him to eighteenth place, despite having crossed the finish line in fifth.

Pasini dejó sin victoria a Vierge en Moto2

In Moto2, the final victory went to Italian Mattia Pasini. Pasini takes the second Moto2 win of his career, denying a first to Xavi Vierge, who tried everything without success. In the end, the young Spanish rider had to settle for a respectable second place, with Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira completing the final podium.

With the win, Mattia Pasini moves into the lead of the Moto2 world championship with 38 points. Baldassarri, who finished fourth at Termas de Río Hondo, is on 33 points, and Francesco Bagnaia , who could only manage ninth, is on 32. Behind the three Italians is Vierge as the best-placed Spaniard, with 28 points, one more than Álex Márquez.

Bezzecchi se llevó la victoria en Argentina en Moto3

And in the Moto3 category, the Italian anthem also rang out thanks to Marco Bezzecchi. The 19-year-old took the win in a race in which he practically dominated from the start, pulling several seconds clear of his pursuers. The best rider behind Bezzecchi was Spaniard Arón Canet, who put in a fine comeback, having started from the back, to climb onto a podium completed by Italian Fabio Di Giannantonio.

Canet’s second place gives him the championship lead with 40 points, ahead of Jorge Martín, who is on 30. The Spanish rider opted for a last-minute tyre change, and the strategy did not work out at all, which held him back during the early laps. In the end he finished eleventh.
