Electric Cars Compact Rankings
2026 ranking: the 7 electric compacts with the longest certified real-world range on the Spanish market
Technical analysis of the seven 100% electric compacts with the highest certified WLTP range on sale in Spain in 2026, with verified battery, consumption and price data.
The electric C-segment has stopped being a promise and has become the true battlefield of European electromobility. In 2026, the electric compacts with the longest range already comfortably exceed 450 certified kilometres, and some go beyond 600 without resorting to disproportionate batteries. The key is no longer packing more kilowatt-hours under the floor, but squeezing every one of them with consumption below 14 kWh/100 km and more efficient electrical architectures.
This ranking analyses the seven models on sale in Spain with the longest WLTP range, all officially sold through the national dealer network, and clearly distinguishes the catalogue figure from the real-world range to be expected in mixed use.
How we measured real-world range in 2026
WLTP homologation remains the official reference, but accumulated experience allows a realistic coefficient to be applied: between 85% and 92% of the certified figure in mixed use at mild temperatures, and drops of 20–25% on motorway driving at 120 km/h or in severe cold. We have cross-checked usable battery capacity, certified average consumption and the performance of the onboard charger to build an honest ranking.

1. Tesla Model 3 Long Range — from 44,990 €
It remains the benchmark. The Highland restyling refined the aerodynamics down to a Cd of 0.219 and allowed the Long Range AWD version to reach 660 km WLTP with 75 kWh of usable battery. On the motorway, realistic figures are 415–430 km. Its efficiency (13–14.3 kWh/100 km certified) still has no rival among premium compacts.
| Power kW | Power CV | Top speed | WLTP range | Consumption | Label | Fuel |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 366 kW | 498 CV | 201 km/h | 660 km | 13–14.3 kWh/100 km | ZERO | Electric |

2. Volkswagen ID.3 Pro S — from 42,880 €
The 2025 revision brought a 77 kWh usable battery and a 150 kW rear motor. With 559 km WLTP, the ID.3 Pro S is the most efficient European compact in its category, at 15.2–15.7 kWh/100 km. On open road, expect between 420 and 450 real km, and its fast charging now reaches 175 kW DC.
| Power kW | Power CV | Top speed | WLTP range | Consumption | Label | Fuel |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 150 kW | 204 CV | 160 km/h | 559 km | 15.2–15.7 kWh/100 km | ZERO | Electric |

3. Cupra Born VZ — from 49,000 €
On the same MEB platform as the ID.3, the VZ version combines the 240 kW of the new APP550 with the 79 kWh usable battery. It offers 631 km WLTP without giving up a 0–100 time of 5.6 seconds. It is the sporty proposal of the ranking, but its consumption rises easily when driven hard: 16–17 kWh/100 km real if you use the performance.
| Power kW | Power CV | Top speed | WLTP range | Consumption | Label | Fuel |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 240 kW | 326 CV | 200 km/h | 631 km | 14.1 kWh/100 km | ZERO | Electric |

4. Renault Megane E-Tech EV60 — from 38,500 €
The Megane remains the French benchmark for efficiency. With 60 kWh usable and a 160 kW front motor, it is certified at 470 km WLTP and consumes 15 kWh/100 km. It is probably the best dynamically resolved electric compact in the mainstream segment, although its maximum DC charging of 130 kW is starting to fall short against the new 800 V platforms.
| Power kW | Power CV | Top speed | WLTP range | Consumption | Label | Fuel |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 160 kW | 218 CV | 160 km/h | 470 km | 15 kWh/100 km | ZERO | Electric |

5. Peugeot E-308 — from 38,540 €
The lion surprises with one of the lowest consumptions in the segment: 14.9–15.1 kWh/100 km certified. With the 55.4 kWh usable battery of the new Stellantis package, it declares 450 km WLTP, a notable figure for its capacity. Aesthetically it remains the most distinctive of the group and keeps the i-Cockpit as its signature.
| Power kW | Power CV | Top speed | WLTP range | Consumption | Label | Fuel |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 115 kW | 156 CV | 170 km/h | 450 km | 14.9–15.1 kWh/100 km | ZERO | Electric |

6. MG4 Extended Range — from 41,690 €
The MG4 has been the shaker of the segment since its arrival. The Extended Range version mounts an NMC battery of 74 kWh usable to certify 545 km WLTP, an impressive figure for its price. It is the best range-per-euro ratio on the Spanish market, although its consumption (15.8 kWh/100 km) is higher than that of its European rivals.
| Power kW | Power CV | Top speed | WLTP range | Consumption | Label | Fuel |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 180 kW | 245 CV | 180 km/h | 545 km | 15.8 kWh/100 km | ZERO | Electric |

7. BYD Dolphin Comfort — from 36,690 €
The ranking closes with the BYD Dolphin and its Blade LFP battery of 60.4 kWh, which is certified at 427 km WLTP. It is the most affordable of the group and offers the thermal robustness of lithium iron phosphate, ideal for urban users with home charging. Its DC charging is limited to 88 kW, its main weakness.
| Power kW | Power CV | Top speed | WLTP range | Consumption | Label | Fuel |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 150 kW | 204 CV | 160 km/h | 427 km | 15.9 kWh/100 km | ZERO | Electric |
