A Lamborghini Murciélago wrecked by drunk driving

Another Lamborghini wrecked, this time the culprit was excessive alcohol.

I’m back from holiday and the first thing I find while browsing the internet a bit is a beautiful Lamborghini Murciélago LP640-4 completely wrecked. This one didn’t make it. There were times when accidents involving vehicles from Sant’Agata Bolognese were rare, but for the past few months, on average, one has happened every week.

They seem to come in streaks: sometimes we only talk about Ferraris and other times only about Lamborghinis. This time it’s another big V12, but the culprit, as always, is the human being, and more specifically the blood alcohol level of its wealthy driver.

The first Police reports state that both the thirty-year-old driver and the co-driver were drunk while travelling at high speed through the city centre.

From what we can see in the images, the rear right suspension was the most affected area of the supercar, but the impact must have been so brutal that the airbags actually deployed.

Fortunately, nobody was injured, although a police officer estimated the damage to the car at around €150,000 and the lamppost at €5,000. Start preparing for the insurance claim, because this is a serious accident.

You know, if you drink, don’t drive.

Si esta probado que iba de alcohol, pues el seguro se desentiende sin problemas.
