Air Lucid Sedans Electric Cars
A Lucid Air converted into a police car is the star of a video in Saudi Arabia
The Saudi Arabian police force has been strengthened with the addition of the Lucid Air to the vehicle fleet of the country’s capital, with an extra feature.

While in Spain we love seeing our security and police forces debut vehicles that are very effective for the service they provide, other countries add more striking vehicles to their fleets. Saudi Arabia, like other Middle Eastern countries, has accustomed us to impressive cars that serve police duties.
Normally, these are not everyday vehicles; instead, they are reserved for special and very specific services. Even so, not every security force can afford this type of vehicle, nor for such uncommon functions. And the Lucid Air is precisely one of those special, out-of-the-ordinary vehicles that has joined the Saudi Arabian police fleet.

It should be noted that Lucid is owned by the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia, so the presence of an electric saloon costing 80,000 dollars as part of the police equipment in the Saudi capital should not surprise us. In addition to all the elements typical of a police car, an extra has been added on the roof of the car.
In the rotating light assembly on the roof, a device for drone takeoff and landing has been installed. This assembly houses a drone, although the specific use of this device has not been specified. It is assumed that it will have surveillance and control functions from the air. An addition that may prove very practical for fulfilling its role.
This modified model was presented in a video published on the social network X, which you can watch below, in which it appears alongside several police and military vehicles. This is due to the holding of the World Defense Show, an event dedicated to vehicles of this kind. The participation of the Lucid Air is part of the collaboration between the Saudi Arabian government and the company, in which it holds a 60.5% stake.
The Lucid Air offers a power output of 1,234 CV and a maximum torque of 1,930 Nm, making it an electric car worth considering. Its range is 867 kilometers, according to the EPA homologation cycle, and its battery powers the three motors that drive this impressive model.
