A Maserati and an Alfa Romeo Giulia join active service with the Italian police fleet in Rome
Both models from the prestigious Italian brands will be ready to transport organs for transplants between Italian hospitals.

Since this month, the Rome police fleet has added two very special vehicles. They are two premium models, designed to provide complementary services and to carry out several important special missions. The General Command of the Carabinieri in Rome has welcomed these two new Carabinieri vehicles, which have already joined the police fleet of the Italian capital.
They are a Maserati McPura and a Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, which have been suitably adapted for the service they have been assigned. The two vehicles will not carry out traditional police duties; instead, they will form part of the fleet dedicated to organ transport for transplants.

To carry out this very delicate task, they have been fitted with all the necessary equipment for preserving and transporting the organs that will be used in transplants at various Italian hospitals. They can also transport other items such as blood, making them strong allies of health services in the Italian capital.

The Maserati McPura is a high-performance coupé with a Nettuno V6 twin-turbo engine, delivering 630 CV. This engine uses technology patented by Maserati, and the single-piece carbon fibre monocoque chassis has been designed to guarantee speed and stability at all times.
The second model stands out for its Quadrifoglio Verde, the symbol of Alfa Romeo’s DNA. It is equipped with a V6 twin-turbo engine producing 520 CV. It also features a mechanical limited-slip differential, rear-wheel drive and a sports suspension that allows it to handle with great confidence on any terrain. The safety equipment provides the conditions to drive without risk, which is ideal for this service.
With this delivery, the long-standing relationship between the Italian brands of Stellantis and the Carabinieri is reinforced, a bond that dates back to the years following the Second World War.
