Toyota begins accepting orders in North America for the bZ 2026 electric SUV
With its new bZ 2026 SUV, Toyota aims to make its way into the North American market, offering among other improvements access to Tesla’s charging infrastructure thanks to the standard NACS port, all at an exceptionally competitive price.
Toyota has just opened orders in the United States for its bZ 2026 electric SUV, an updated version that promises greater range, more power and direct connectivity to the Tesla Supercharger network through the NACS port that it now includes as standard. The base price of this model in the United States starts slightly below 35 thousand dollars, which places it in that market as one of the most affordable vehicles in its segment.
The new Toyota bZ 2026 is offered in two trim levels, XLE and Limited. The entry version has a single electric motor on the front axle, paired with a 57.7 kWh battery pack with which it is capable of covering up to 236 miles -380 km- under the EPA homologation cycle. There is also the option to equip a higher-capacity 74.7 kWh battery pack, with which range increases to 314 miles -505 km-.

The Limited trim additionally includes as standard a panoramic roof, a digital rear-view mirror and the option to add a second electric motor and all-wheel drive for an extra 2 thousand dollars, delivering in this case up to 285 kW of power, 50 percent more than the 2025 bZ4X.
Finding a charging point will never be a problem
The new Toyota bZ 2026 supports DC fast charging at a maximum power of 150 kW and integrates an 11 kW onboard charger for AC charging. The incorporation of an NACS charging port in this updated model will allow new owners of this vehicle to access the more than 35 thousand charging points of the Tesla Supercharger network in North America, locatable from the Toyota app itself. All 2026 Toyota electric vehicles also incorporate Plug&Charge technology, thanks to which, once a user account is registered, charging starts automatically as soon as the cable is connected to the vehicle’s charging port.
The buyers of the new Toyota bZ 2026 will not, however, be the only ones able to take advantage of the Tesla Superchargers. Starting next November, owners of a bZ4X from the 2023 to the 2025 model year will receive a free NACS adapter at the Japanese manufacturer’s North American dealerships, allowing them to make use of Tesla’s charging infrastructure.

Finally, it should be noted that Subaru has also confirmed that the 2026 Solterra likewise includes a standard NACS port. Through SubaruConnect, drivers of this new model will be able to locate stations, manage payments and start charging automatically using Plug&Charge technology. Likewise, owners of the 2023-2025 Solterra will soon be able to purchase an official adapter at any dealership in the Subaru network.
