A Pagani Zonda F dead and a Lamborghini Gallardo badly injured

A Pagani Zonda F has met its end in Malaysia and a Lamborghini Gallardo has caught fire in Portland, the latest victims of irresponsibility.

The last few days have been, quite literally, a real massacre among sports and/or exotic cars. Just a few days after telling you about a Ferrari Scaglietti destroyed, and a few hours after a Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV perished in Indonesia, we now bring you two news items in the same vein: a Pagani Zonda F killed in Malaysia and a Lamborghini Gallardo that goes up in flames at the Portland Autoshow.

The driver of the Pagani Zonda F managed to mutilate the car before killing it, since the force of the impact against wherever it hit tore both wheels on the right side clean off, and the entire front end has been left almost completely disintegrated. A shame, considering only 25 examples were built.

Now we head to Portland, USA. The minor Portland Autoshow has had an unexpected attraction in a Lamborghini Gallardo that met a gruesome end thanks to a truly stupid incident. The same Lamborghini was going to be displayed at the show, but the organizers did not allow it into the venue, since the car had a lot of fuel in its tank. A sensible measure, one that is applied at almost every show around the world.

The best idea the people in charge of the Gallardo came up with was to rev the engine in neutral so that part of the petrol would be burned off. Very soon, the person responsible for such a “job” got tired and placed a piece of wood on the accelerator pedal so the car would stay revved up. As you might expect, the engine overheated and started to burn.

Although the car never fully caught fire, those in charge of the Gallardo must now be standing in some unemployment queue looking for a new job.
