Cybertruck Tesla Electric Cars
A "Performance" version of the Cybertruck from Tesla is on its way
Elon Musk reportedly has already sat behind the wheel of a high-performance version of the Cybertruck, and he claims it will leave us speechless when it finally reaches the North American market
While we wait for Elon Musk to announce when the unveiling event for the final production version of the Cybertruck will take place, the head of Tesla has indirectly confirmed the future availability of a high-performance version, or Performance, of this electric pickup.
Elon Musk did not hesitate to respond to a question posted on X – formerly Twitter – by a fan account of the company, which asked about the possible future availability of a Plaid version of the new Model 3 Highland. The head of Tesla was categorical, making it very clear that this is something that will never happen.

Nevertheless, he took the opportunity to reveal that he has been personally testing “the Cybertruck Performance“, adding that it represents a major leap forward in performance compared with the standard version of this electric pickup. Musk concluded by stating that this version clearly plays in a different league.
The Cybertruck Performance promises to surprise in the quarter mile
Coincidentally, just a few days ago, images captured by a drone at Tesla’s test track in Fremont, California, came to light, showing one of the Cybertruck prototypes carrying out speed tests. Could this be the Cybertruck Performance? It seems quite likely, although this has not been confirmed.

The American manufacturer plans for the first units of the production version of its electric pickup to start rolling off the assembly line at the Texas Gigafactory at the end of this year. It is expected that, more or less around those dates, Tesla will hold an unveiling event in which it will reveal its final specification sheet and some details we still do not know. That is probably when Elon Musk will officially announce the future availability of this Performance version of the Cybertruck.
