The Land Rover Classic Defender receives new accessories to enjoy the outdoors
The new camper version of the Land Rover Classic Defender Works V8 has been created in collaboration with The Ply Guys and features new external accessories.

Few off-roaders are as attractive and sought-after as the Land Rover Defender. And the British manufacturer knows it. So some time ago it launched a special edition called Land Rover Classic Defender Works V8, which revived the most classic spirit of the model. And now this model has been fitted with new accessories to enjoy free time and open-air camping even more.
To equip these very special models, Jaguar Land Rover relies on the Land Rover Classic division, which is the Land Rover version of the Heritage division, responsible for manufacturing all models leaving the brand with these special features. It was at the Goodwood Revival§h10• event, held this month, that the new additions for this off-road vehicle with a classic look could be seen.

The new parts that complement the Land Rover Classic Defender Works V8 were displayed mounted on five units of the brand. The one that drew the most public attention was the Land Rover Classic Expedition Camper. It has not been modified by the company collaborating with Land Rover, The Ply Guys. The roof tent was supplied by TentBox, although the latter will not be available until late 2024.
These two companies often collaborate with Land Rover, and their components are of very high quality and meet the standards the manufacturer requires for dressing its most special models.

Alongside the Expedition Camper, visitors could see a Classic Defender 110 Hard Top fitted with the Black Pack, a Station Wagon 90 with a classic look, and two Trophy support trucks equipped with accessories from the exclusive customer events Land Rover Classic Trophy I and Trophy II.
Each of the models on display was unique, offering a very attractive image and demonstrating the great versatility that can be achieved with the parts offered by Land Rover Classic. In the case of the Expedition Camper, the work of The Ply Guys was involved, who, under the supervision of Land Rover Classic, transformed the off-roader into a well-equipped camper vehicle.
On the exterior, an very attractive accessory package has been added, consisting of:
- TentBox Cargo roof tent (available early 2024)
- LED headlights
- Side steps
- Black Sawtooth wheels with black centre caps
- Black Exterior Pack: grille, headlight surrounds, classic metal badge and Black screw kit
Comfortable interior
As for the interior, a upholstery with contrasting yellow piping and electric blue edging has been created. On the centre console there is an upholstery in Harris Tweed, which can also be found on the rear seats. The conversion carried out by The Ply Guys allows the Land Rover Classic Defender to offer all the comfort needed at any moment. The furniture has been handmade, aiming to provide that much-needed comfort even in the midst of the most demanding adventure. Being modular, they can be configured in different ways to create unique vehicles.
This is what the camper conversion offers:
- Land Rover Urlar floor: 12 mm Black Hexa with stripe detail
- Croch Suas roof with integrated downward lighting: 6.5 mm Natural Birch with engraved details
- Land Rover Torridon kitchen with sliding storage
- Land Rover Gairdean cubicle: customised version for Land Rover Classic
- Land Rover Expedition Unit: removable lower compartment with organisers. In Black Hexa birch slats
- Land Rover 110 kitchen module: lower worktop with upper access hatches. Folding load seats.
- Harris Tweed upholstery: for the basic and padded cushions
