Porsche Taycan Sedans Electric Cars
A Porsche Taycan catches fire mysteriously in a garage in Florida
A Porsche Taycan began to burn while it was in a garage in Florida. The causes of the fire are not yet known.

Launching a completely new model onto the market -or even a brand- is never easy, and if you don’t believe it, just ask many of the car manufacturers that today hold the title of being among the most successful. Porsche set out to enter the world of electric vehicles with a car faithful to the brand’s ideals and with little or nothing in common with a city EV. The Taycan was the result of that desire to combine sportiness, efficiency and zero emissions in one, yet this has not prevented one unit from burning in a garage in Florida.
For now, it is too early to draw conclusions or determine what happened in this case, but Porsche has already taken action on the matter. A unit of the German electric car was reduced to ashes while it was peacefully resting in its owner’s garage, giving them a rather unpleasant surprise.
This is not the first time an electric car has fallen victim to uncertain flames, with some models of Tesla being a clear example of this. But this problem is also attributed to combustion vehicles, such as the Ferrari 458 Italia, whose first batch suffered a fuel injection problem that caused an almost uncontrollable fire to break out.

Fortunately, no one was hurt during the fire in this Porsche Taycan, a model that has just arrived on the market and still has room for improvement. Until the engineers at Porsche carry out a forensic study of what happened, we can only speculate about the reasons why that spark may have ignited, capable of destroying even the slightest trace of the electric saloon’s existence.
This incident took place while the car was in the garage and, although it has not been specified whether it was charging at the time, it may have had something to do with the incident. Some neighbours in the area have confirmed that they heard a loud bang just before they saw the flames, which have certainly caused significant damage to the garage where the Porsche Taycan was peacefully resting.

Either way, both the Florida authorities and Porsche itself are working on the matter to not only determine the causes of the incident, but also to rule out a generic problem with the model. This is how the first steps of the Porsche Taycan on American soil have turned into misfortune, although we hope it remains an isolated case.
