Abarth 695 Biposto Record: the definitive Fiat 500

Abart-695-Biposto-Record-1

Another new high-performance variant for the small Fiat 500. This time it is a limited edition and, as expected, it is signed by Abarth. The 695 Biposto Record features the most powerful engine fitted to a 500, a series of high-performance adjustments and components signed by top brands, as well as a price that matches its exclusivity: 52,300 euros.

Since its launch in 2007, the Fiat 500 has been winning over fans over time, becoming one of the fundamental pillars of the Turin-based company. Official tuned versions are another highlight of Fiat, which under the Abarth sub-brand boosts and modifies the technical specifications of the 500. The latest is a limited edition called Abarth 695 Biposto Record, and only 133 units will be produced.

The Abarth 695 Biposto Record is based on the two-seater 695 Biposto, which shares its same engine, a powerful turbocharged four-cylinder 1.4-litre engine that produces 190 CV and 250 Nm of torque. The engine has enough power to easily propel the light 997 kilograms that the 695 Biposto Record weighs on the scale, giving it a power-to-weight ratio of 5.2 kg/CV. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint is also no barrier for the souped-up 500, which needs 5.9 seconds to reach that speed and tops out at 230 km/h.

To make this limited edition even more exclusive, Fiat equips the Abarth 695 Biposto Record with an exclusive Modena Yellow colour, with wheels finished in Tar Cold Grey and 695 Récords badges. The wheels are 18-inch multi-spoke OZ units, it has large-diameter Brembo brakes and an Akrapovic exhaust to improve its performance. The interior features special trim on the instrument cluster, Sabelt carbon seats with four-point harnesses, a cargo net and a numbered edition plate.
