ABT begins tuning the new Audi A4

Lately it seems that the major tuners, as is the case of ABT, are more hunting for the latest novelties than working on a specific, carefully considered preparation for a particular model. It’s only a feeling of mine, perhaps mistaken, but I think the speed with which they have been able to get their hands on the Audi A4 has been more than astonishing, even though they are its official tuners.

From what they say, ABT has carried out a “radically bourgeois” preparation of this saloon, since, according to them, without losing the elegance and poise of the A4 as a magnificent saloon, it has been given a more sporty look. This look is the product of fitting a bodykit with pronounced front bumpers that accentuate the design of the headlights, extending this all the way to the rear, where you will find a spoiler as well as a diffuser in the central section.

But you can’t live on appearances alone; you need a good heart, which is why ABT has also found ways to increase the power of the engines. Starting with the petrol 1.8 TFSI, which rises from 160 to 200 hp (240 with the Abt Power S kit) and up to 310 Nm of torque, followed by the 2.0 TDI, which goes from 143 hp to 170 (or 200 with the Abt Power S kit), continuing with the 2.7 TDI, which rises from 190 to 230 hp, and finishing with the 3.0 TDI, which can deliver 300 hp with the Abt Power S kit.

To tame all this, it was essential to pamper other parts of the car, such as the brakes and suspension, which have been improved. Lastly, and as could not be otherwise, 18″ wheels, 19″ or 20″ specific wheels will also be offered.
