June 24 is a special day. Yes, we know we celebrate Saint John’s Day, that magical moment that welcomes the summer, but for Italians it means something else. Among other things, it marks another anniversary of the brand Alfa Romeo. In 2022, it is the 112th anniversary of the brand. A moment when hundreds of the brand’s followers will gather at the Alfa Romeo museum in Arese to celebrate it.

The Alfa Romeo Museum hosts this event every year, bringing together many owners of a vehicle from the brand and featuring a range of activities that make for a very busy and enjoyable few days. It was on June 24, 1910, that Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili was founded in Milan, the company that would later become Alfa Romeo and that is part of the region’s and Italy’s automotive industry.

Three days of activities and events

From June 24 to 26, the Alfa Romeo Museum has prepared everything so that fans of the brand feel right at home and enjoy the activities on offer. The museum’s indoor track is made available to visitors so they can drive their Alfa Romeo on it. The same space also hosts parades of the participating vehicles, something very important for the manufacturer during this event.

The clubs, the stars of the event

The event is dedicated to the Alfa Romeo clubs. A part of the museum is given over to them. Several screens have been set up on two walls to show documentaries that showcase the life and passion of the members of these clubs, made by the clubs themselves. There are clubs all over the world, and participants will arrive from Latin America, New Zealand, South Africa, among other countries.

In the outdoor green area, the Trees4Club zone will be inaugurated, where several trees bearing a commemorative plaque for each of the clubs invited to the event can be seen. The aim is to show the commitment and the deep roots these clubs have in the history of the brand.

On the Saturday of the opening, a large gathering of members of these clubs will take place in the Giulia Hall at three in the afternoon. June 26 will be a day dedicated to the Giulia, which turns 60. This model will be the star of the day, with talks, an exhibition of vehicles from the 1960s and 1970s, and other special units, such as police cars and other variants.

The program will include classic vehicles from the Marazzato collection of classic cars in Stroppiana (province of Vercelli), which will complement the museum’s own collection.
