Alfa Romeo celebrates its 110th anniversary with the reopening of its brand museum
The Italian brand celebrates its 110th anniversary with the reopening of the Alfa Romeo Museum, located in Arese, showcasing its private collection to the public attending.

Not every brand can boast of blowing out 110 candles on its anniversary cake, and Alfa Romeo is one of the few that can. This year marks a century and a decade since the car market has had the brand present, and several events are being prepared to celebrate it. One of them is the reopening of the Alfa Romeo Museum, which had remained closed due to the Covid-19 crisis.
The Alfa Romeo Museum, located in Arese, will open its doors from Wednesday, June 24 to Sunday, June 28, but from that date on it will open on weekends. During that first weekend of opening, several special activities will be held for enthusiasts who visit the museum’s facilities.

Special visits to the “secret” collection
The Alfa Romeo Museum has adapted its facilities to comply with the exceptional safety measures due to the coronavirus. Visitors can therefore access the permanent collection without any problems, although the brand has prepared a surprise for those who come to the Museum during these first days of reopening.
The private collection of Alfa Romeo, which is normally out of sight and where a wide variety of the brand’s classic models can be admired, has been made available. In total there are 150 cars, as well as many engines from cars, aircraft and boats built by Alfa Romeo, and other objects. Trophies, scale models, accessories and artworks based on the brand are some of the attractions of this private collection, which is normally not available to the public.
To take the visit, a reservation is required, as it is a guided event with a total of 10 people. These cars and objects can be seen at the many exhibitions and events held around the world wherever the brand is present.

In addition, the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA, a version created to celebrate the 110th anniversary, joins the permanent collection, so it is another of the items that can be enjoyed in the exhibition. Another activity planned for those reopening days is a cycle of lectures on moments in the history of Alfa Romeo. The first will take place on June 27 and the second on June 28.
The Alfa Romeo Museum was inaugurated in 1976 and was renovated in 2005. It has a surface area of 6,000 square meters and several outdoor areas. It is in these areas that several parades in which brand enthusiasts can take part and drive the brand’s models will be held.
