All-season tyres: forget swapping tyres in winter
All-season tyres are a very interesting alternative to winter tyres and snow chains.
There is a type of tyre that is neither exactly summer (the common ones in Spain) nor winter (the usual ones in cold regions), which is why they are called all-season tyres. This type of tyre can be the definitive solution in Spain, given how changeable our climate is, since they ensure a balance of performance in both summer and winter conditions without having to change tyres.

All-season tyres are designed to meet the main demands that arise in winter, especially in regions with milder winters, such as the case of Spain. Although in our country the temperature does not drop below zero as often as in other European countries, it is common to face conditions such as light snowfall or ice, as we are seeing these days on many roads.
This type of tyre offers a balance of performance in summer, but is also effective in winter conditions. These tyres feature the M+S marking (Mud + Snow) and the Three-Peak Mountain with snowflake symbol, which makes them an interesting alternative to snow chains.

An increasingly popular option
More and more European drivers do not want to switch between summer and winter tyres depending on the season. Indeed, sales of this type of tyre in Spain now account for more than 4% of all passenger car tyres sold, with growth close to 8%, clearly surpassing the figures for winter tyres.
The Goodyear Vector 4Seasons tyres
The
Goodyear Vector 4Seasons tyres are a good example of this kind of tyre. These tyres feature interconnected blocks that are smaller and improve their performance on snowy roads, while their wide sipe cavity increases their performance on ice. In addition, Goodyear has included its SmartTred technology in these tyres, which features a series of state-of-the-art polymers and a higher proportion of silica, ensuring better performance on wet, icy or slushy surfaces.
