Mercedes expands the Vito range with the exclusive, sporty Sport Line series
Mercedes Benz expands the Vito range by adding a new Sport Line special series with a more sporty and dynamic character and a more eye-catching look

Sport Line is the name of the new special series that Mercedes Benz Vans has just launched on the market, with an improved exterior look aimed at giving the model a markedly sportier, more dynamic and far more eye-catching style, thanks to new decorative strips placed right in the centre of the bonnet and the front spoiler, and in the lower section of the side doors just above the side steps.
From this February, this new Sport Line variant will begin to be sold in the various European markets where the brand is present, on the basis of the Vito Panel Van, Mixto and Tourer versions.
The Vito Sport Line combine numerous sporty elements of additional equipment beyond the standard specification to create a certainly exclusive package that makes the brand’s medium-sized van more appealing, dynamic and attractive. In addition to the aforementioned adhesive film inserts on the bodywork, the Vito Sport Line incorporate new sport-style side skirts, and the bumpers and removable body parts come as standard finished in the same colour as the bodywork. The exterior mirror housings, however, remain in the usual black. The radiator grille has also changed compared with the versions already known, incorporating a new chrome finish, as do the roof bars.

Although there are no engine changes, the Sport Line series adopts an exclusive and sporty exterior and interior design. The side view of the vehicle also features the introduction of windows in the sliding doors on both sides of the vehicle, which use black-tinted glass to provide greater privacy to the rear of the vehicle. Both these glazed surfaces and the front windscreen are made of glass with thermal insulation to help keep the interior temperature of the cabin constant under sunlight. Optionally, customers of the brand can add to the equipment of the new Vito Sport Line a large panoramic roof that brings more light into the cabin.
Inside, the Vito Sport Line accentuate the contrasts of their equipment and finish compared with the rest of the range. The standard finish includes the Chrome Interior pack, as well as seats and trim upholstered in black artificial leather. The steering wheel and gear knob are also finished in the same material.
The brand’s statement does not specify any mechanical changes compared with the rest of the range. What it does say is that the suspension gains greater firmness to cope with what we assume will be greater performance, given the sporty character intended for the model, and the option of fitting this special series with permanent four-wheel drive 4×4.
Available on the Panel Van, Mixto and Tourer variants of the conventional range, these Vito Sport Line also feature new 18-inch alloy wheels (optional 19-inch ones are available) and an exclusive exterior paint colour. The Vito Sport Line are available at an additional surcharge ranging from €2,500 to €4,000 depending on the version chosen, as the Sport Line variant can be selected in the three existing weight versions: 2.8 t, 3.05 t and 3.11 t.
