Golf Volkswagen Compact Range / versions
All the data on the Volkswagen Golf R

Volkswagen has announced all the data on what from now on becomes the most powerful Golf in the history of the model. The Golf R.
This is the most radical version of the seventh generation of the quintessential German compact, which, after being unveiled a few months ago, now is preparing its arrival in our country.
We already told you here about the first details of this very special version, and now more data is finally known, such as performance, equipment and price.
The new Golf R arrives at dealerships with an aggressive design that, however, is not extremely eye-catching, as is customary for the German brand. The wheels feature a new design and reach 19 inches, while the front and rear bumpers feature wider lines.

The rear also adds a small spoiler at the height of the window, as well as a new exhaust system with no fewer than 4 outlets, two on each side, marking the first time a Golf has been fitted with an exhaust of such magnitude.
Inside, we find an atmosphere typical of a high-performance vehicle, with details that set it apart from its more “down-to-earth” siblings. The Golf R features sports seats upholstered in fabric and Alcantara (full leather optional), roof and pillar trim in a specific colour, a unique steering wheel and instrumentation, and piano-black trim, giving the cabin a more exclusive touch.

The performance of the Golf R is undoubtedly stratospheric, worthy of true sports cars. The acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is completed in 4.9 seconds, reaching an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. Consumption does not soar thanks to a “small” engine (2.0 TSI) combined with a Start&Stop system that allows it to homologate 7 litres per 100 km.
The price of the Golf R starts at 39,230 euros for the manual version, rising to 41,410 € if chosen with DSG.
