Although they have already been presented at several motor shows, it is only now that the three Mercedes AMG models from the GT range have reached the European market. They are the Mercedes AMG GT Roadster, the AMG GT C Roadster and the AMG GT R, which join the AMG GT and AMG GTS versions already in the company’s catalogue. Of these three models, the AMG GT Roadster is the cheapest, with a starting price in Germany of 129,180 euros.

This model uses a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, capable of producing 496 CV, with a top speed of 301 km/h and an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just four seconds. The fabric roof folds away in just 11 seconds and can operate at speeds of up to 50 km/h. This same roof is found on the AMG GT C Roadster, which has other differences compared with the previous model.

Among its specifications are some that form part of the AMG GT R, so underneath its skin we find an electronically controlled limited-slip differential on the rear axle, as well as active steering on the same axle. In this case, the engine delivers 549 CV and its top speed is set at 316 km/h. The starting price of this model in its home market begins at 160,650 euros.

The jewel of the range has been given the name “Green Hell“, as it was presented in this colour. It has undergone several design changes and its aerodynamics have been improved, making it an even more attractive car. The suspension has been upgraded and its V8 engine delivers 577 CV. These figures bring it close to the concept of a supercar, thanks to an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and a top speed raised to 316 km/h.

The starting price of this version is 165,410 euros, and although the first orders for these models are already being taken, they will not be available until next spring.
