Alpina, Rolls-Royce, Jeep and Mercedes recalled

New recalls announced at Alpina, Jeep, Mercedes and Rolls-Royce

A large recall carried out by brands supposedly above the average, which usually don’t carry out such campaigns, perhaps that is precisely why it draws special attention that companies such as Alpina, Rolls-Royce, Jeep or Mercedes have carried out a large-scale risk prevention recall on their models

Specifically, the affected models have been the impressive Alpina B5 and B7, the Rolls-Royce Ghost, the Mercedes S-Class, and the ever-appealing and quirky Jeep Wrangler. Once again, as usual, if your vehicle is among those affected, regardless of the manufacturer, after-sales staff will contact you to arrange free repair

– Alpina B5 and B7: the problem with the Alpinas lies in the coolant pump where, apparently due to a manufacturing defect, moisture could enter, which in an extreme case could cause a short circuit that could damage the turbocharger coolant pump. If the vehicle is not stopped, a fire could even break out in the engine bay. The affected vehicles are those built between June and September 2010 for the B5, while the affected B7s were built between February 2009 and September 2010.

– Jeep Wrangler: apparently the steering could lose effectiveness due to a defective suspension that could eventually loosen. The affected vehicles were built between 7 July and 10 September 2010.

– Mercedes S-Class: The problem with the flagship saloons of Mercedes built between 26 September and 11 October 2011 has been detected in the seat belts, specifically in the height adjustment when subjected to heavy loads. According to the statement, there could be a risk of injury in the event of an accident.

Rolls-Royce Ghost: the problem is the same as that found in the Alpina B5 and B7 described above, a problem due precisely to the widespread use of components among brands belonging to the BMW Group. The affected vehicles were built between October 2009 and September 2010.
