Alpine Alpenglow: a hydrogen-powered supercar ready to compete at Spa
Alpine isn’t stopping, and another proof of this is the incredible features it has given the concept car presented in 2022, which is now set to compete in the endurance race

Alpine, the sporting brand derived from Renault, which has given us incredible models such as the Alpine A110R or the upcoming A110 Trophy, will unveil the first functional version of Alpenglow on May 10, 2024, ahead of the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps endurance race in which this model will compete.
We already got our first look at this model in 2022, when its features were displayed in the form of a concept car at the Paris Motor Show. Alpenglow will hit the track for the first time on May 11 at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit.

The highlight of Alpenglow is its hydrogen-fuelled internal combustion engine, a bold bet on sustainability and performance. It is rumoured that its heart will beat with a powerful V6 engine, capable of unleashing an impressive output of 867 CV. This marriage of power and sustainability not only redefines the limits of performance, but also sets a new standard for the automotive industry.
Its name was conceived from the Alpenglow phenomenon, a luminous effect in which a horizontal streak of red-tinted light appears on the horizon before sunrise and after sunset, when the solar disc is just below the horizon.

A 5-metre supercar
Alpenglow’s dimensions promise an imposing presence on the road, measuring 5 metres long and 2 metres wide, yet surprisingly compact at less than one metre in height. The vehicle’s lightweight structure, made mainly of carbon fibre, promises unprecedented agility through every corner.
In addition, Alpenglow features two hydrogen tanks on either side of the cabin for better weight distribution and optimal track performance.

A laboratory on wheels
Alpenglow is not just a car, it is a statement of intent from Alpine. It is a rolling laboratory where the technologies that will be used in the brand’s future models are tested and refined.
On May 10 and 11, the world will witness the birth of a new era in the automotive industry. Alpine, with Alpenglow, promises not only extreme thrills on the track, but also paves the way towards a more sustainable and exciting future on the road. Get ready for the revolution that Alpine has in store.
