Are you a Formula 1 fan? Keep an eye out for the new collection Hot Wheels is putting on sale
Hot Wheels has teamed up with Formula 1 to offer us two very interesting collections, which come with two types of track on which to put them to the test

Anyone who follows motorsport knows the miniatures from Hot Wheels, and of course many people buy them casually or even collect them. Now Formula 1 fans have the perfect excuse to join that world too, because the brand belonging to the American giant Mattel is launching a collection featuring the cars of the Formula 1 teams.
Before describing the collection, there are two details that I think are important to know, at least as information or as a curiosity. If you look at the photographs in this collection, neither the cars of Ferrari nor those of Aston Martin appear. It is also striking that, only two months before the start of the 2025 season, the miniatures Hot Wheels is releasing correspond to the 2024 cars. These are two points to keep in mind, and I suppose they are largely related to licensing issues.

That said, Hot Wheels offers two different Formula 1 miniature collections. The first imitates the liveries of the teams McLaren, Mercedes-AMG, Red Bull Racing, Alpine, Haas, Visa Cash App, Sauber and Williams, all based on the same miniature model and at the traditional Hot Wheels scale of 1:64. They can be bought individually or in special packs of five cars.

Note that all these miniatures can be paired with the Formula 1 Sprint Race track, for a price of around 50 euros. It is based on the classic orange Hot Wheels tracks but has the particularity of including accessories that boost both the experience and the fun for kids and adults alike. These accessories are an accelerator pedal to give the car speed and a lap counter that can count up to 25 laps, along with the times shown on a control tower.

The fun doesn’t stop there: for about 90 euros we can get the Formula 1 Gran Prix track, which is obviously bigger and more exciting than the previous one and allows up to three cars to race, each with its own lane. It also includes improved accessories, such as accelerator pedals with two speeds and the track-side diverters which, according to Mattel, activate a DRS mode that suddenly increases the speed of the miniatures.

Finally, there is the second collection, also at 1:64 scale. It is more elaborate, offering a more faithful and detailed representation of the cars of the teams mentioned above, with features such as Real Riders tyres and perfectly executed liveries, all on a metal chassis and body. This collection is priced higher than the previous one and each vehicle can only be purchased individually, meaning there is no specific pack.
